Kuma

Kuma was an AKC puppy that I hoped to learn how to show with. He did well in puppy matches, once best of breed once and best in group once. Bu then his genes showed up. At about 8 months he started weeping constantly and it turned out he had entropion where the eyelids turn in against the eye. He had surgery to fix this and by day three it was obvious that his lids had been corrected too much and now pointed outward. Another surgery later and I opted to put him down. He had gone through so much and I had let him suffer too long. Always a sweet boy that loved having his belly rubbed. A hard lesson in picking puppies.
